How to Get Six Solid Indie Games Normally $59 for Only $5 Before July 6th
Finally! A Six Pack for the Non-Beer-Drinking/Non-Crunches-Doing Crowd
Are you hungry for good indie games? Have you visited indiegamespack.com yet? Their “Summer Six Pack” promotion brings together the fruits of six independent game developers, and tosses them all together in a tasty summer berry indie salad drizzled with a light vinaigrette price reduction.
Following a successful two-week run of its promotional “Summer Six-Pack” of indie-games from June 1st to June 18th, the Indiegamespack.com group, a collective of six independent game developers, today announced that it is re-booting the promotion for fourteen additional days (ending July 6th, 2011!).
With the Summer Six-Pack, you get all six tall, frosty games for the brewed-in-my-basement price of $10.
But wait! There’s less (cost)!
A deal within a deal? You bet. Brag about your intent to purchase the pack on your Facebook page, and the deal is yours for a measly $5. You get games for less for less, and they get the press. Success? Yes!
So in summary:
You get indie titles Aztaka, City Rain, Puzzlegeddon, Bob Came in Pieces, Vizati and Lylian Paranoid Friendship.
Separately, these games would set you back $59. They can all be yours for $5. Even if you suck harder than a Dyson at mathematics, you can figure out that this is a 28oz Ribeye-sized deal. (OK enough with the summer BBQ analogies).
There is now a dedicated page at Desura for the bundle and delivery support for two of the games over at Steam.
Indie Games In the Summer Six Pack
The DRM-free “Indie-Games Summer Six-Pack” bundle offers a truly diverse mix of titles and genres and we will try to get as many of them reviewed before the last week of the offer so you really know what is up for grabs here:
Aztaka

Dev Summary: Lush, hand-painted RPG game where the player encounters ancient, newly-awakened gods (both good and evil)—in a battle and race to restore prosperity and hope for the people of the Aztec Empire.
City Rain

Dev Summary: In a ‘Tetris-meets-Sim City’ puzzle game, the player must quickly re-structure cities falling into place to be eco-friendly and ‘green’ enough to meet the strict rules of the World Environment Protection agency.
Puzzlegeddon

Dev Summary: An inventive mix of puzzle, action and strategy. On the player’s island of choice, they must defeat opponents throughout the many galaxies, beat their own personal profile and play online competing with friends all over the world
Bob Came in Pieces

Dev Summary: This engaging puzzle-adventure game revolves around Bob, who has crashed on a strange planet and lost quite a few parts to his ship—on top of it all, Bob is late for work. The player must fine the lost parts to rebuild and customize Bob’s ship while solving challenging, physics-based puzzles.
Vizati

Dev Summary: This puzzle game requires the player to manipulate a magical cube and group the small Vizati stones by color, through a limited number of moves. The player must rotate, flip, or shake the magical cube for a game this is easy to understand, but hard to master.
Lylian Episode I: Paranoid Friendship

Dev Summary: In this slightly ‘dark’ action/adventure game, Lylian is a patient in the children’s ward at the Hacklaster Hospital. Lylian has an uncanny ability to spew forth figments of her mind into the real world—while causing considerable damage with her long, dangling straitjacket sleeves.
